Fine art is a special universal type of communication through which, bypassing the language barrier, the artist can appeal to a wide audience and convey not only ideas, but also the state and attitude. Through painting, you can induce the viewer to look in a new way at familiar things, for example, in the temporary to see the manifestation of the eternal. Therefore, the fine arts from childhood attracted me, especially the historical genre. In my work, I continue the traditions of academic realism. I am inspired by ideas that reveal the essential foundations of life. I believe that in the picture a small theme - the plot - should reveal a large one, associated with enduring values. Therefore, large paintings are always a lot of work, a lot of historical material and sketches. I use sculpture to find images.

I usually paint my paintings using the multi-layer oil painting technique of the old masters of the Italian school. Their paintings have their own ageless aesthetics, which have always fascinated me: a restrained palette, soft colors, rich stroke kinetics, complex color transitions formed by optical mixing of different layers. But the main feature of this writing technique is that the modeling of the shape and the refinement of the color are carried out separately, which allows you to achieve volume and avoid dirt. The greatest influence on my work was exerted by such great artists as Titian Vecellio, Jusepe de Ribera, Vasily Polenov, Nikolai Ge, Ilya Repin.

I have several long-term projects - a series of paintings that I am working on. The main one is the life of Buddha - an attempt by means of academic painting to recreate the appearance and events from the life of the historical Buddha Gotama. At the same time, I paint horses, portraits of Buddhist monks, nomads - I am interested in their attitude to life. I began to draw horses a long time ago, at first as characters for historical subjects, but gradually I find in them more and more in common with humans, and for me it is almost a continuation of the portrait genre.
