My name is Jos Eijken. Artist from the Netherlands. I have been drawing and painting all my life. As a child I browsed through books about Rembrandt for hours. When I went to the academy after my graphic education in '95, a whole new world opened up to me. Still focused on the safe profession of graphic design but I got more in touch with paint and pencils. After the academy I started working as a designer. At home I developed as a painter. I thought it was important to keep developing myself. I can still remember the first serious still life and the problems I encountered. Now years later I show the world that I am capable of. Painting is part of my life and I will always do it as long as I can hold a brush.
