"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

Jean-Michel Péricat (piCrate) is a contemporary French painter, sculptor, engraver and photographer. piCrate’s choice of colors, materials and supports as well as his way of working and assembling them characterize a style that he likes to say "dirty and raw", but that one could qualify as true and without artifice. Through his works, he shares his emotions, his questions and invites us to enter his sometimes surrealist universe, populated by strange beings and imbued with a singular aesthetic and graphic research. His sculptures are often assemblages of different recovered materials, such as metals, wood, driftwood, fibers, old newspapers.
He collaborates among others with the Editions Payot, Liberation, Télérama and various national and international institutions. piCrate is active on the national and international scene, his characters whom he calls “Entities”, couriers of souls, fallen angels or benevolent geniuses, staged in textured and colored atmospheres, are often the reflection of our fears, of our questions and our emotions.
We find in his paintings recurring subjects such as The Child King, Adam and Eve, Kings and Queens, Love, Couples, Sickness, Death, Slavery and Inequalities. Abstract or more figurative, they are executed mainly in acrylic, sometimes in oil, often with the addition of sand or material.
piCrate was born in France, where after a brief stint at the Academy of Painting in Port Royal, he joined the Estienne School of Graphic Arts, then the CE3P School of Photography and became a professional photographer. After 30 years of photography, he devoted himself completely to painting and sculpture.
