Path to the Lighthouse
I painted this picture outdoors, on the path leading to the Phare du Paon (the Lighthouse of the Peacock), on the Isle of Bréhat.
I was quite inspired by this vantage point with its commanding view over a whole range of scenic elements. The vegetal, the animal and the mineral world seem to delightfully coalesce.
To depict this seascape I used a palette knife and applied the paint in rough touches so as to impart a great sense of character to this small-sized painting.
This very decorative original art-piece will make a most enjoyable present.

Nathalie JAGUIN began a professional career as a portrait painter on the spot and on commission in 2003. After about ten years of this activity and 6000 portraits sold, she decided to leave academic drawing by abolishing the contours.
She invented her technique "Millefiori" which she describes in her book "oil painting, painting without sketches" released in 2019 which is sold in France, as well as in bookstores, New York (Librairie Albertine), Canadian (Librairie Archambault) and all over the world. These paintings are composed like a symphony, each touch of color is a note that must agree with the others to compose a harmony, it sometimes gives birth to a landscape, a portrait, or a still life, paintings full of colors and good humor.
