Izabela Hren, born in 1979 in Zagreb, Croatia, is a renowned artist in the field of abstract and geometric drawing. She lives and works in Croatia, where she explores the infinite possibilities of pencil on paper. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb in 2003, and continued her education in graphic design at the Algebra School in Zagreb in 2012. Always eager for knowledge, she also studied Swedish at the Intellecta School of Foreign Languages between 2018 and 2020.

Hren's work is characterized by a minimalist and monochromatic approach, where geometric abstraction occupies a central place. His compositions, of great formal rigor, question the limits between order and chaos, between structure and intuition. Each drawing is a meditation on form, line and space, inviting the viewer to an introspective reflection.

Since 2000, Izabela Hren has regularly exhibited her works in solo and group exhibitions in Croatia and internationally, including in Zagreb, Split, Kutina, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Poland. Some of her most notable exhibitions include "The Crystal Body" in Zagreb in 2014, "The Drawings" in Kutina in 2019, and "Memento Vivere" in Nova Gradiška in 2021.

A member of the “House of Croatian Artists” association since 2005, she has also been teaching visual arts in primary schools since 2015. Passionate about drawing, graphic arts, literature, music, learning foreign languages, nature and meditation, Izabela Hren draws on these multiple interests to nourish an artistic practice that combines technical precision and conceptual depth. Her work, both introspective and universal, continues to resonate beyond borders, inviting everyone to discover the poetry of minimalism.
