Original Artwork refers to any work that is considered authentic and not a copy or imitation of the original works of an artist. Original artwork can be any type of painting, sculpture, performance, or other media. There are many types of original media. Mixed media includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. While they may be less valuable for different reasons, reproductions and copies have had a tremendous impact on our experience. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. It could also refer to a prototype or a model from which other works can be made. Each work bears great similarities to the original.

THIS PAINTING HAS BEEN SOLD AND IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. However, canvas and sheet prints are available in various sizes and styles via my gallery at the following address:

SIZE: Length: 40cm/16" Width 40cm/16" Depth 2.5cm/1". Each sub-square is 20cm/8" x 20cm/8".
This painting comprises four separate square paintings. These four squares can be placed as close or as far apart as desired, or displayed individually.

MEDIUM: Acrylic on canvas.

CANVAS: The sides are painted in a continuation of the painting itself so a frame is not necessary. The painting benefits from being twice coated with a protective gloss varnish. The Hysterie of Art watermark appearing in the picture has been inserted solely to deter and prevent unauthorised use and/or reproduction of this painting; it does not appear on the actual painting itself.

Hello and welcome. Thank you for visiting my Artmajeur galleries. All the work here is my original art, although you may notice that elements of some pieces have been inspired by certain artists. My art features bold designs and bright colours with paint thickly applied, an 'impasto light' style using, usually, acrylic paint. The essence of art is freedom, and I hope that you will take an indulgent view and find something that you like in my galleries.

I do not currently sell prints of my work so each piece is a one-off and is unique – no other person has any piece of art which is exactly the same!

Technical Information

Unless otherwise stated, all my art comprises acrylic paint applied on gesso-primed canvas. Sizes are as stated on the individual items themselves. All pieces of art have been finished with two coats of gloss varnish to provide a protective coating and to enhance the colours used in my paintings. All items are signed and dated.

Payment for Purchases

I accept payment by Paypal; many customers find this to be the easiest and most secure method. You do not need to have a Paypal account to make a payment through Paypal – you can pay with your credit card without an account.

I will only ship an item once payment has cleared. If you have not paid within five days of being notified of the total order price (see Shipping and Postage below – I may need to confirm the total postage costs for your order to you) and there has been no contact, then I will consider the item not bought and will re-list the item.
