“There's plenty in the world”
from dylan Thomas
For me the acting of painting begins when the words stop
I cannot say much about my paintings if not that they come from a vision -something I see
and therefore I paint
Often the visions come from reading poetry
I do not know why I see what I see That's why I paint To let other see What I see..and from their vision and words...very often I can understand better what I paint.

Giulio Benatti, a contemporary Italian artist, embarked on a transformative journey that spanned a decade abroad, living in both London and Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It was during this time that he immersed himself in the vibrant artistic communities of these cities, attending art school and honing his craft.

From a young age, Benatti found solace and expression in the act of painting and drawing, a passion that has remained steadfast throughout his life. For him, art is not just a hobby or a profession; it is a fundamental aspect of his identity, an essential means of communication and self-expression.

Drawing inspiration from the world of poetry, Benatti infuses his work with the lyrical beauty of language, often deriving imagery and themes from the verses of renowned poets. Each brushstroke or line on his canvas is imbued with the profound emotional resonance of these literary influences, creating a rich tapestry of visual and poetic expression.

While many of his recent works find their home on paper, Benatti's artistic exploration extends beyond traditional mediums. He also finds joy and inspiration in the art of photography, capturing moments of beauty and intrigue with his keen eye and creative vision.

For Giulio Benatti, art is not simply a vocation; it is a way of life—a journey of self-discovery and exploration that knows no bounds. Through his paintings, drawings, and photographs, he invites viewers to join him on this odyssey of creativity and imagination, where words and images converge to form a timeless tapestry of human experience.
