C. Hervé nous propose une peinture entre figuration et abstraction nourrie de séjours passés en Bretagne et en Provence.
Si ses origines bretonnes l'amènent à peindre les rivages, les voiliers, les balises et les phares, les côtes tourmentées, c'est un grand coup de cœur qui lui fait apprécier le sud-est de la France.
L'artiste joue avec la matérialité de la peinture en laissant apparaître les traces de couteau et explore la résonance des couleurs à travers l'utilisation d'une palette très colorée.
Il est présent dans de nombreux salons et expositions: Salon des Artistes Français, Salon des Indépendants à Paris, Art en Capital au Grand Palais, Beauvais, Pontoise, Chantilly, Etretat, Genève, Lausanne, etc. ...

" Ma peinture n'a pas de frontière et navigue entre rêve et réalité aux confins d'une figuration libre et d'une abstraction paysagée, porte ouverte sur l'infini et la liberté. Inspiré par Turner et Zao Wou Ki, ma principale source d'inspiration est l'eau sous toutes ses formes et des paysages de Provence où les couleurs viennent côtoyer des transparences délicates."
