L'art a toujours été un refuge, un réconfort, une parenthèse, un moment de sérénité dans ma vie. Originaire de Grenoble, mon père nous a très tôt (mon frère et moi) habitués aux changements d'horizon (Arles, Avignon, Bellegarde, Nîmes) Adolescent, je me suis envolé, ou plutôt je suis tombé du nid et j'ai élargit le champ des possibles. Mes compagnons de voyages sont alors ma guitare, un bloc de feuilles, un crayon et des pastels gras. Arrivé aux Saintes Maries de la Mer, la nuit, je m'initie à la peinture à l'huile aux pinceaux et aux pastels secs sur des paysages, des scènes, des portrait, des natures mortes. Je veux comprendre le travail d'ateliers des Grands Maîtres : pigments, mortiers, colle de lapin et plâtre amorphe. Après huit années passées au bord de la mer, le travail m'emmène à Uzès avec mes fidèles guitares et toiles. Je cède à l'envie d'essayer la peinture figurative aux couteaux. La mort de mon père survient ; elle m'accable et dans le même temps me donne à rencontrer Victor Marinas, son ami. Il me prend sous son aile. Nous discutons beaucoup de nos expériences picturales si différentes et il me pousse à me dévoiler en tentant la peinture abstraite ; c'est une révélation pour moi ! J'ai un tel plaisir à choisir mes couleurs, travailler la lumière, créer la perspective et harmoniser le tout. C'est comme créer une poésie, une histoire ; celle de la vie ! Victor me transmet ce que lui même a appris avec Manuel Viola et plus tard avec Manuel Fernandez Carmona (disciple de Pablo Ruiz Picasso). Je vis avec bonheur ce partage et l'autodidacte que j'étais, se nourrit tel Gargantua, jamais rassasié ! Peindre me fait du bien et j'espère que mes oeuvres sauront combler votre regard, réconforter votre âme et apaiser votre esprit. Je vous réserve la guitare pour les oreilles ! La vie est une suite de rencontres et de hasards fortuits. " Tout ce qui ne tue pas, rend plus fort ! "
