Alphabet is a multimedia work by Murielle Lefèvre, Frédéric Durieu and Jean-Jacques Birgé after Kvĕta Pacovská. Released as a CD-ROM in 1999, based on the eponymous book1 by the Czech artist. History In 1999, began the collaboration between Murielle Lefèvre and the famous visual artist Kvĕta Pacovská on the adaptation of the Théâtre de Minuit. The young Frenchwoman adapts the Czech artist's book for the small computer screen. Faced with the artistic, technological and commercial success of this project, publisher Syrinx and producer NHK decide to launch a new product around another successful title from Pacovská: Alphabet. Three co-authors signed this adaptation, in addition to Murielle Lefèvre from DadaMedia, Jean-Jacques Birgé, musician and great fan of computer hybrids, author of the Carton and Machiavelli CD-Roms, signed the sound score, as for Frédéric Durieu he took charge of the programming and interactivity. Published by Syrinx, it is produced by the education department of NHK, the Japanese public television. Alphabet works with three interfaces (mouse, keyboard and microphone) but has no visible interface on the screen, playing only on intuitive effects. The CD-ROM had to be installed and used on a microcomputer under Mac OS 7 or Windows 95. In 2003, it was ported to Windows 98, XP, 2000 and OSX. This tire, published in several countries and awarded numerous international prizes, has strongly marked the history of interactive arts. Étienne Mineur considers it the most beautiful and the most successful CD-ROM in the short history of "cultural" CD-ROMs. In 2004, Alphabet was exhibited at the Center Pompidou. Frédéric Durieu, graduate of Polytechnique and artist, writes his own programs and uses the computers to make art since almost 30 years. Pioneer in this domain, his works was exhibited in major museums. He realized also installations for several known brands, exhibitions, events or shows. His image processing and the movements are unique and surprising.

Nathalie Erin, alumnus of academy, singing teacher and artist, has a big sensibility of the world, which surrounds her, that inspires them in their co-creations today.

Their work often reflects their perception of the world and the Nature. Like butterflies, they take us on their universe and raises a question about our place in the world.
Their digital works come in paintings but also in interactive installations reacting with the sound or the movement of the spectator, or in background setting for live performance. In any case, their Art remains marked by striking beauty, poetry, magic and originality.
