Originally Dutch but living in Brazil since 2005 (Rio de Janeiro and since 2015 in Maceió the state of Alagoas).
Even though I have been drawing with pastels throughout a big part of my life, I began my painting path 12 years ago and found my inspiration in Brazil. My style and technique have been developed through living in Brazil and with art classes in the Netherlands over the past 10 years.
In my work you will encounter various techniques. The most frequent technique that I use is with acrylic paint, but I also use oil paint, a technique of photography, collage, engraving and graffiti.
My work contains the constant presence of words, phrases and texts. These are the expressions of my thoughts, feelings and experiences acheived through life. They are the expressions of that what is touching my heart at the moment that I'm painting.
I never know in advance what I'm going to paint. The painting develops through colors, feelings and images that pop up internally and which will interact and be integrated and expressed on the canvas.
There are times when a particular topic is of great importance to me. That than creates a kind of vision of what I want to show in my painting, of what needs to be in it. When I than internally work with that , shapes, colors words and texts are finding its way from the inside out to create the composition.

Mesmo que eu já desenhava com pastell por uma grande parte na minha vida eu iniciei o meu caminho de pintura há 12 anos e encontrei a minha inspiração no Brasil. O meu estílo e técnica foram desenvolvidos pelo Brasil e com aulas de artes na Holanda nos ultimos 10 anos.
Em meu trabalho você encontra várias técnicas. A técnica mais frequente e com tinta acrílica, mas também tinta óleo, uma técnica de fotografia, colagem, gravura e grafitti.
Em meu trabalho é constante a presença de palavras, frases , desenhos e imagens. São as expressôes de meus pensamentos, sentimentos e de experiências adqueridas pela vida. São expressôes que tocam meu coração no momento que estou pintando.
Nunca sei com antecedência o que eu vou pintar. A pintura se desenvolve por meio de cores, sentimentos e imagens que surgem, se integram e interagem para se expressar na tela.
Há momentos em que um determinado tema é de grande importância para mim, e quando eu o trabalho internamente para então expressar-lo com as formas e cores, gerando um movimento constante, este surge de dentro para fora.
