Estela Baptista Costa - Nasceu nas Caldas da Rainha em 1975 onde se licenciou em Artes Plásticas na actual Escola de Arte e Design (ESAD).
Concluiu o Curso de Ilustração Infantil do Centro de Imagem e Técnicas Narrativas (CITEN), na Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian.
Foi assistente de Bartolomeu Cid dos Santos, entre 1999 e 2003, nomeadamente no desenvolvimento de cursos de gravura e no seu atelier em Tavira.
Em 2000 representou Portugal na Exposição Internacional de Ilustradores «Figures Futur 2000». No mesmo ano foi a autora da Gravura Comemorativa do X Aniversário da Associação Portuguesa de Apoio à Vítima (APAV), apresentada no Seminário Internacional SOPHIA, em Lisboa.
Trabalhou até 2004 no Museu de José Malhoa, nas Caldas da Rainha, na área da Animação Cultural, onde desenvolveu várias actividades, principalmente para crianças. Realizou a ilustração do Roteiro Juvenil e colaborou no Roteiro Geral, no capítulo sobre a Aguarela da colecção deste museu, editados em 2005. Também organizou exposições e outros eventos culturais de natureza diversa.
Colaborou na ilustração de revistas e livros de poesia, nomeadamente como ilustradora da capa de «Canções para os meus filhos mortos» de José Félix Duque [Cosmorama, 2005] e como Artista Plástica que se associou à homenagem póstuma feita à poetisa Natércia Freire em «O livro de Natércia» [Quasi, 2005].
Dedica-se preferencialmente à Gravura e à Ilustração, colaborando em vários projectos editoriais. É formadora na área das Artes Plásticas.
It was born in Caldas da Rainha city, in 1975, where if it permitted in Plastic Arts in the current School of Arte and Design (ESAD). It concluded the Infantile Illustration Course of the Center de Imagem e Técnicas Narrativas (CITEN), in the Foundation Calouste Gulbenkian. She was assistant of Bartolomeu Cid Dos Santos, between 1999 and 2003, nominated in the development of engraving courses and in its atelier in Tavira. In 2000 it represented Portugal in the International Exposition of Ilustradores “Figures Futur 2000”. In the same year she was the author of the Commemorative Engraving of the Anniversary X of the Portuguese Association of Support to Vítima (APAV), presented in the International Seminary SOPHIA, in Lisbon. It worked up to 2004 in the Museum of Jose Malhoa, in Caldas da Rainha, the area of the Cultural Animation, where it developed some activities, mainly for children. It carried through the illustration of the Youthful Script and collaborated in the General Script, in the chapter on the Aguarela of the colecção of this museum, edited in 2005. Also it organized expositions and other cultural events of diverse nature. It collaborated in the illustration of magazines and books of poetry, as nominated ilustrater of the layer of “Songs for my dead children” of Jose Félix Duque [Cosmorama, 2005] and as Plastic Artist who if associated with the done posthumous homage to the poetess Natércia Freire in “the book of Natércia” [Quasi, 2005]. ...
