Nicht nur Schwertfische sind vom Aussterben bedroht. Mit den heutigen Fangmethoden werden die weltweiten Fischbestände bis an ihre Grenzen oder darüber hinaus geplündert und Hunderttausende Meerestiere als ungewollter Beifang vernichtet.

Sabine Koschier hat, wenn man so will eine klassische Künstlerlaufbahn gemacht. Schon als Kind und Jugendliche malte sie bereits stundenlang. Sie studierte an der École du Louvre in Paris und an der TU-München, und hat 1993 ihr Diplom in Architektur gemacht. Nach dem Diplom hat sie sich lieber mit Farbenlehre, Farbtheorien und Lichtgestaltung beschäftigt als mit der Häuserplanung und entwarf die Farbgestaltung des U-Bahnhofes Candidplatz in München, bis sie sich schließlich entschloss als freischaffende Künstlerin zu arbeiten.
Mit ihrer Kunst möchte sie an die Kraft und Schönheit, die uns die Natur schenkt, erinnern. Ihr Thema sind farbintensive Porträts, die sie in Acryl auf Leinwand, oder in Aquarell auf Papier erstellt. Insbesondere liegt ihr Fokus auf dem Blick, weil bekanntlich die Seele durch die Augen spricht. Ihre Lieblingsmotive sind Tiere, insbesondere Krafttiere.
