In 2001, I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting at the University of the Philippines. In college and a year after graduating, I worked as a graphic designer, exhibiting visual artist and Art Workshop teacher/facilitator.
In 2002, I was accepted as an Assistant Professor for the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Saint La Salle. I taught the courses on Humanities and Social Sciences. During these years, I had two one-woman exhibits and several group shows. I established a visual arts group, GLYF, for the University which aimed to promote visual arts.
In 2006, I earned my Masters in Public Management. This further deepened my interest and curiosity toward societal behaviors and inter/intra-human relations. My unquenched interest in the combination of arts and the social sciences manifest themselves in most of my works. I am an artist in a constant quest to further unfold the subliminal and raw human emotions.
The year 2016 was a milestone for us. Due to my husband’s work and together with our children, we moved to Texas. Marriage and raising my children brought me to a temporary hiatus from actively participating in the art world. This period enabled me to channel my energy in nurturing creativity among my children .
Just like a new blank canvas, I am ready for a new chapter in my art career. 2020 was my turning point (as probably with everybody else), I issued my Artist Manifesto, declaring that I am officially coming back to the Art Scene.
Currently, I am in the process of making more artworks for the next exhibits, both physical and virtual.
