Denys Mollard
Denys Mollard is a contemporary French artist. Initially a cabinetmaker, then a model maker, he became an interior designer and, passionate about wood and materials, he began to imagine a line of wooden lamps to enhance the interiors.
Mollard’s wood lamp design collection uses simple, geometric shapes, clean, slender lines to allow wood to take on its full value. Wood in its most varied species: teak, pine, oak, beech, walnut, sipo, Wengé, Iroko, is not only used as a form support, but as a building material.
His creations are more like sculptures than simple objects to pose. To give them a raison d'être that goes beyond mere aesthetics and gives them the characteristic of design in the true sense of the term, he adds light, thanks to LED bulbs that give his creations another useful life.

Artistic extravagance and creative madness are the two forces that drive me to design, draw and make original creations. Half lamps - half sculptures, all these creations are aimed at provide an original and fantastical atmosphere. Warm, yet atypical. My lamps are the result of my passion for design and wood, resulting in what I call a positive non-conformity. No more lampshades! The light is here to shine and illuminate a noble wood, the beautify of which is enhanced by lighting. No need to hide light to create a warm an intimate, soothing and atmosphere. Wood in its great diversity of colors and textures, helps give life to these lines of light that will illuminate your interior and, captivating your guests! Exceptionally unique and upscale pieces of luxury are the result of extensive graphics research and a careful manual realization of these design using quality wood, treated according to ancient methods ( hydroxide sodium, walnut stain, Chinese ink…) and protected by environmentally friendly products (beeswax, linseed oil, green olive oil…). All the proposed light pieces are low power consumption, between 2 and 7 watts, ( 200-450 lumens), with a warm white color, between 3000 and 4000 K, which best agrees with the delicate nuances of wood.
