Maurizio D'Andrea, international artist, was born in the province of Naples in 1967 at the foot of the Vesuvius volcano. From a very young age he began to make art and paint his first abstract paintings, and to create, he thought it was important for the human spirit, to experiment, to demonstrate that art could make life better. His painting can be traced back to lyrical-informal abstractionism but also to contemporary international abstractionism. He loves to depict the intimate, the soul, through an intense and profound way arising from vibrations of the mind, almost a visceral symbiosis that can be destructive or resentful with the canvas. He studies Jung, his symbols and collective archetypes, proposing a constantly evolving abstractionism that does not stop at the mere representation of the message but goes beyond the formal aspect through gestures, restless shots, impulses of the body. For this reason, with very different techniques, he sinks the support as if it were a boulder to be removed and with his irrepressible strength he describes the most hidden aspects of our soul. They are dreamlike visions that push the viewer to escape from a corrupt and ruthless world always in search of traditional values. It is a cultured, refined, suggestive painting that Maurizio D'Andrea shapes as he pleases, creating pure, instinctive, sincere feelings that are the most immediate expression of the sensations that man feels towards reality. Multifaceted scenes intertwine on the canvas in a combinatorial game between dense spatula strokes and colorful signs that are thrown onto the canvas until it becomes almost material, operations repeated several times by a continuous and strident movement. A sublimation of the pictorial act made even more profound through symbolic ideas which for the artist represent an escape route to free himself from the suffering that afflicts human beings.

THE RADICAL INTROVERSIC ART MOVEMENT

In Turin, in 2022, the international artist Maurizio D'Andrea founded, in the prestigious AccorsiArte gallery, a new artistic movement: the INTROVERSIC ART MOVEMENT RADICAL. Where introversion tells the story of the supremacy of pure interiority in art, a compositional rigor that does not allow exceptions. In the world of the digital Metaverse, in which virtual reality risks suffocating and making us lose our identity, the new movement wants to propose an art that fixes our psyche on the canvas, through abstract, informal painting, devoid of lines, shapes and well-defined objects, which precisely as such allows us to unify and free our personal and collective unconscious, an art in which the protagonists of the creative process are the author, the work and all those who enter into dialogue with it. D'Andrea himself when he talks about visitors and users talks about - dialoguers - underlining the two-way, visceral relationship that must exist between work, artist and spectator.
