Curt

Geneviève CURT was born in Marseille in the south of France.
Ever since she was little, she has always had pencils in her hands.
At the age of 13 she began to take drawing lessons
at the Academy of Fine Arts in Marseille.
After training as an advertising graphic designer, she worked in various advertising agencies and publishing houses.
In 1979, she took off for a month's vacation in Guadeloupe, deciding the day before her departure to stay in Guadeloupe after 1 year, she left for another island, St Martin, where she lived for 13 years in the small village of Colombier.< br /> After 10 years of billboards, she's heading to
painting and more particularly watercolour. Scenes
market, Creole children are her favorite themes.
First exhibition at the Papagayo gallery boutique in St Barth followed by others but always in the islands.

In 1994, she left with her son for another island, the Dominican Republic.
She has been living there for more than 20 years, in the charming village of Las Terrenas where she opened her house as a gallery that you can visit and see her latest works, both in oil and watercolor.
