“The Bathers and the Ballerinas” are series imbued with nostalgia. They evoke the past, childhood and its carelessness. The women suspended in a darker sky, with deeper colors like an unknown night, this sky in which we are asked to enter to work, and which we cross brighter, lighter, as if purified. Women take the plunge towards this stranger or from behind, projecting their moods. Caspar David Friedrich called it "the tragedy of the landscape" ...
Today I mainly work with charcoal on a background of oil colors, or oil paint on canvas.
