Boris Garanger is a contemporary French painter whose artistic journey reflects a deep intercultural sensitivity and a diverse range of experiences. After completing his science baccalaureate, Garanger spent a year in Bournemouth, England, where he developed an appreciation for different cultures. This exposure, combined with his bilingual abilities, influenced his artistic approach.
Garanger began his formal art education at the School of Fine Arts in Lorient, where he explored various techniques. His desire to deepen his understanding of visual art led him to the Beaux-Arts in Rennes, where he specialized in contemporary art during his second year. He later continued his studies at the Ecole de La Cambre in Brussels, focusing on sculpture. After a year there, he chose to leave, driven by a thirst for adventure and a willingness to embrace risk.
His travels took him to Madagascar, Mauritius, Switzerland, Canada, and the United States. These journeys provided him with rich visual and cultural experiences that greatly influenced his work. During this period, Garanger trained as a metalworker and artistic ironworker, gaining valuable skills in assembly and construction that informed his artistic research.
Returning to France in early 2018, Garanger decided to dedicate himself fully to his art. Since then, he has actively participated in various events and competitions, continuing to draw inspiration from his travels and experiences to fuel his creative endeavors.
