Marco Barella is one of those Moscow artists who continue with the post-conceptual trend of art. He has been using a mixed technique, collages and pastel in his art-pieces for the past five years.
Marco Barella chooses bright moments of the past and present for his art works and sometimes he creates images upon absolutely incompatible elements. Probably, this is why his new series is so unusual and has a touching impact on the admirers of the modern art.
Marco Barella presents his new series - "Contemporaneity and Information". These are 10 triptychs, each work-piece is from 50x50 cm. to 50x70 cm. in size and is done by using a mixed technique on paper. Collages and minimalism in the choice of the colour are the key idea inspirers in this series. It can be also called "the series of black and red". Sharp contrasts are direct continuation of the post-avant-guard trend in art.
Collages contain pieces from old publications of the beginning of the last century, photo-images and other items. Each triptych also contains hand-written extracts from F. Nietzsche books and those of other western philosophers. Initially, there was no hidden meaning or connection foreseen by adding these hand-written lines, however, they increased the brightness of each work. The concept of the series - contemporaneity and information, that interweave and build up significant life perception. Contemporaneity in the past and in the present
