Tout jeune artiste, il expose seulement depuis un an et demi. A l’âge de 12 ans, il prend pendant trois ans, des cours de peinture avec un peintre local néo-impressionniste Maître Pierre Bougon, d’où sa connaissance du dessin et de l’aquarelle.
Sa première passion est d’être artiste peintre et sa deuxième passion est d’être sommelier de métier chez ses parents restaurateurs en Normandie. L’organisation d’expositions dans leurs salles lui a toujours conféré le goût de la peinture.
