Nasceu no Porto em 1965 e reside em Vila Nova de Gaia.
A sua atividade profissional como professora no ensino das Artes Visuais iniciou-se em 1989, encontrando-se a lecionar na Escola Secundária Dr. Manuel Gomes de Almeida- Espinho.
Teve formação em Artes Plásticas- Pintura na Escola Superior de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto.
Tendo-se desde cedo interessado e experimentado várias formas de expressão plástica, teve formação em áreas diversificadas, como a fotografia, a animação, vitrofusão, etc., exprimindo-se no entanto preferencialmente através do desenho, da aguarela, do acrílico e técnicas mistas com resina.
