Original Artwork refers to any work that is considered authentic and not a copy or imitation of the original works of an artist. Original artwork can be any type of painting, sculpture, performance, or other media. There are many types of original media. Mixed media includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. While they may be less valuable for different reasons, reproductions and copies have had a tremendous impact on our experience. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. It could also refer to a prototype or a model from which other works can be made. Each work bears great similarities to the original.

• CURRICULUM DE ASTRID WALDMAN

(Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1964)
Egresada de la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón como Profesora Nacional de Bellas Artes (1988), en donde fueron sus maestros Julio Flores, Alicia Romero y Aníbal Carreño. Se formó y perfeccionó en dibujo, pintura y composición en el taller de María Luisa Manassero. Obtuvo la Licenciatura en Artes Visuales con orientación en pintura en el IUNA, Instituto Universitario Nacional de Artes(2008). Es artista plástica y está dedicada también a la docencia de las Artes Visuales desde hace muchos años (1984);dicta clases en su Taller y es Profesora de Dibujo y Composición en la Escuela Fernando Fader y en la Escuela de Arte Lola Mora. Actualmente pertenece al equipo de investigadores del IUNA, en donde participa en un proyecto que indaga la metodología y las herramientas utilizadas para la creación de imágenes en las Artes Visuales. Coautora del libro "Las herramientas metodológicas en las Artes Visuales" Ha participado de numerosas exposiciones individuales y colectivas con sus pinturas, dibujos y collages. Expone actualmente en la Feria de Arte de Palermo Viejo (Artistas Plásticos a Cielo Abierto, SOFOPAVI), desde el año 2002. Y entre sus muestras individuales sobresalen la Exposición individual "Astrid Waldman Fragmentos -Pinturas y Proyectos- ", que realizó en el Centro Cultural Recoleta de Buenos Aires (2004) y "Paisajes Interiores", realizada en UCES (2011). Poseen sus obras colecciones particulares nacionales y del extranjero.
Vive y trabaja en Buenos Aires.
