Composer, artist, designer, programmer and a native New Yorker, Furman resides currently in beautiful Susquehanna County, PA. His music has received many accolades and has been heard in concert, at music festivals and on FM stations in the USA and abroad. He returned to painting in 1998 after having discovered digital art and the remarkable similarity of its techniques to those used in the creation of electronic music. Both are great fun and tremendously exciting, and open new theaters of creativity barely limited by the scope of one’s imagination.
Furman is a graduate of the University of the State of New York, Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences and Queens College (SUNY). He studied architecture at University of Cincinnati and Pratt Institute, and later received a Wesleyan University stipend for graduate work in ethnomusicology and experimental music.
