Sensitive to the transformation movements of nature, I transpose them into my plastic practice. By diverting materials from everyday life, I inject them with energy that generates their own forms.
Passionate about the notion of hybridization, my sculptures and installations are created to give birth to artworks to offer at the public the prospect of a new look at its environment.
How, after years of accumulation and abandonment, inert matter would dream of life? I am trying to rebuild a world by holding the dust of what has existed, between my fingers and that time will crumble. I use raw matter to help it regain its primitive state, its language is very rich and I let it guide myself, "Every material has its own individual qualities. It is only when the sculptor works direct, when there is an active relationship with his material, that the material can take its part in the shaping of an idea.” ¹.
From nature, man extracts wood, rock, for example, to make useful material. From the material I take my turn. I amalgamate it, roll it, braid it to recreate a simulated nature made of reconstructed trees or hybrid beings symbols of survival.
