Jean-Jacques ANDRE Born in 1966 in Chambéry (SAVOIE) Jean-Jacques ANDRE lives and works in FONTAINE / GRENOBLE. Designer DNSEP - Design - from the National School of Fine Arts of Saint-Etienne.
Designer, visual artist and gallery owner.
Creator of the ESPRIT CARTON 2006 workshop and the ORIGIN a FONTAINE 2014 gallery.

Self-taught artist before entering the Beaux Arts in St Etienne.
After having 15 years of activity as designer the chance of life.
a poster board fallen from a billboard blocking my way,
the desire and the energy to immerse oneself in creation free from all constraints.

My artistic "work" is a confrontation with the image, the form, the material, the color.
The result is spatial arrangements close to musical compositions.
I like working with the advertising poster because it matches the best
to my sensitivity in terms of color intensity and allows me great freedom
of composition by the technique of collage.
Freedom, Lightness, Surprise, Intensity, Harmony
are the sensations that guide me in this game
of destructuring / recomposition / exposure.
I leave a large part to chance and give free rein to my intuition
when I make my collages. They seem to emerge on their own from the chaos of color.
