"Rose Passalboni has been interested in art since her high school years in Corsica where she took classes with an excellent teacher, Mr Deguilhen.
From 1995, she took classes at the "Atelier Grégoire" where painters met every week at the "Moulin de Baussy" to practice and share their talents. She had her first exhibitions there at the Château de Tourrettes sur Loup.
Quickly passionate, she adopted a romantic style and was particularly inspired by the precursors of impressionism Claude Monet and William Turner. Her island of beauty, with its varied landscapes, between sea and mountains, repeatedly guide her imagination and her brushes, and in another tone the Côte d'Azur with its natural effervescence provides her with an interpretation of the elements that will become very unique.
After starting out with charcoal, she worked for a long time in oil painting to concentrate today on acrylic, which she particularly appreciates for its modernity, its luminosity, its shimmering colors as well as the thickness of its material that she can work with a knife with generosity.
Rose Passalboni expresses her creativity in various ways, it is through portraits, still lifes and landscapes that she offers the world her vision of life. Her figurative style works are marked by gentleness, romanticism and sincerity.
Some of her photographs have allowed her to immortalize and share on her canvases moments that have marked her mind or simply favorites.
Always eager for knowledge in this field, she travels the galleries of Saint-Paul de Vence, the exhibitions of the Côte d'Azur, Corsica, everything that could develop her creativity.
Over the years her technique has been refined, and all the artistic encounters she has been able to make have allowed her to enrich her knowledge and her technique.
Today she flourishes in contemporary abstract art in acrylic and mixed techniques by combining various materials and gold leaf. She feels like a free artist and abstract has become a way for her to stimulate her imagination and escape from reality"
