Femme urbaine et l'éternel féminin
Anaïse was born in 1961 in Meulan. She is half English, half French.
Since she was five years old, whether music, dance or painting, Art has always been part of her life.
In 2000, when she decided to commit most of her life to Art, she took courses of bookbinding and restoration of old books at "Arts Appliqués du Vésinet".
In 2003, she opened her own workshop, "Atelier Anaïse Nolan,” in Saint Germain en Laye.
During nine years, she bounded or restored books. One of her most famous customers was the jewelry Boucheron.
At the same time, she participed at international bookbinding exhibitions.
In 2012, Anaïse left the Paris region to settle down in Palma de Mallorca where she still lives now.
Inspired by the view of her apartment, the mallorquine coasts, the light of the Méditerranéen sea and all the sailboats, she decided to paint them.
But as she doesn't like to do like others, she decided to paint on canvas, not with oil, not with acrylic but with stucco.
The stucco, powder of line and marble, is mixed with natural pigments, which gives the paintings a brilliant aspect and an ice-cold touch. For her first collection, Anaïse has tried to reinvent the "Marines" in a geometrical way.
In 2016, during three months, five paintings have been exposed in a famous contemporary art gallery of Palma, "Galeria K". The first month, two paintings were sold.
Now, she decided to sell her work directly to all the persons who loves the world of sailboats.
In her own words, she says "my work today is a good balance between my feelings and emotions and I want to share them with my contemporaneous. Open mind, positivism, freedom, respect and calm, that's what I want to share with you.”
