I've been drawing portraits since early childhood, always fascinated by faces, by the look in people's eyes, their facial expressions...
When I started painting I made black and white portraits with a slight touch of colour in them; today I only make them black and white to give them an aura of cleanliness, intensity, simplicity and authenticity.
