Armand Landh is a contemporary Romanian painter. His work seamlessly integrates American visual experiences characterized by their aggressive and consumerist nature, representing a culture focused on immediate gratification rather than enduring landmarks, resulting in a canvas that spans time and space.
Landh's artistic approach transcends mere mimicry or mechanical reproduction, as he delves deep into the quest for his own identity within a depersonalized world - a return to self-reflection following the disillusionment of the American dream. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of sources such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Neo-Dada, Fluxus, motivational slogans, historical data, Brancusi's Kiss, MoMa, and Târgu-Jiu, Armand Landh invites viewers into the captivating realm of Army Landh. Here, the artist's subconscious materializes in postmodern palimpsests, offering a unique glimpse into the intricate tapestry of his thoughts and experiences.
Armand Landh's educational journey includes earning a BA Diploma from the University of Timisoara, Faculty of Arts and Design in 2013, as well as studying at the Faculty of Arts, University Constantin Brancusi in Tirgu Jiu, Romania, from 2010 to 2013. Prior to his artistic pursuits, he pursued a degree in Sociology at the University Babes Bolyai in Cluj, Romania, from 2004 to 2008, and furthered his academic background with studies in Letters at the same university from 2002 to 2004. He exhibited his works nationally.
