ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Anna’s artworks represent her experience with environment and atmosphere, which she draws upon to bring life into her paintings. Just watching clouds or looking at the ocean or exploring the forest brings her constant inspiration. Anna’s work is an abstract reimagining of the environment she experiences, with each piece being a creation and representation of sky, land, ocean, and everything in-between.

Anna is a self-taught abstract artist, translator, and poet from Germany currently residing in Portugal.

The dialogue of distortions of color and perspective determines Anna's works. They follow the principle of formlessness to formation or dissolution of form – just like processes of the unconscious. They are visualizations of the purest spontaneity coupled with vibrant colors that radiate with energy and joy. Anna likes to embark on journeys into dimensions with each painting to see what she can find and bring back, always curious and eager to experiment.
