1955 - 1964 Studium der Graphik, Kunstgeschichte und Kunsterziehung in Mainz und Heidelberg. Seit 1964 freischaffender Künstler. 1962 erste Ausstellung im Mainzer Gutenberg-Museum. Nach weiteren Ausstellungen im regionalen Raum ab den 1970er Jahren bundesweite Ausstellungen (u. a. Schloss Charlottenburg in Berlin, Paulskirche in Frankfurt am Main und Haus der Kunst in München). In den 1980er Jahren auch internationale Ausstellungen (u. a. in Madrid, Barcelona, Bukarest und Zalaergerzeg).
