A 11 ans je voulais être artiste peintre.
A l’aube de mes 18 ans, au lieu de m’inscrire dans une école d’art, le permis de conduire en poche depuis seulement une semaine, avec des copains, J’ai traversé le Sahara en voiture.
Devenue peintre, j’ai peu voyagé pendant une longue période la peinture suffisant à m’emmener ailleurs.
Il y a cinq ans, j’ai pris l’habitude de quitter la solitude de mon atelier Picard, pour me promener à Paris j’avais besoin, de marcher, d’écouter, d’humer la ville. L’aventure est à la sortie du métro.
Nous oublions trop souvent de regarder autour de nous, nous oublions trop souvent de nous parler.
Je me suis mis à prendre des notes, des photos et à collecter. Une espèce de journal de bord.
Mettre mes déambulations sur une toile, c’était naturel, évident.
L’envie de partir, comme une piqure de rappel, est revenue. Lorsque je regarde une carte du Monde je cible d’abord les villes. J’aime leurs bruits, leurs odeurs, le monde, les gens.
Pour autant j’ai un grand plaisir à dessiner et travailler sur mon lieu de résidence.
