"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

Alexandre Pons, painter and photographer, was born in 1973 in Saint-Tropez, a charming port city on the Mediterranean coast. Coming from a family of artists, he grew up surrounded by art, with his father Jacques Pons, a figurative painter inspired by Fauvism, and his sister Valérie Pons, who moved towards naive art. However, Alexandre followed his own artistic path, instinctively moving towards abstract painting while not completely forgetting his figurative roots.
Over the last 20 years, Alexandre has devoted himself regularly to painting, while working at the same time in the sale of paintings in the gallery of another artist in Saint-Tropez. His artistic sensitivity turns mainly to material and color. To create his works, he uses natural pigments, Indian ink, walnut hulls, superimposed oil pastels, as well as various papers of different textures and other elements which come by chance to nourish his compositions. His favorite colors are red, black, white and natural shades.
The spontaneity of gesture, instinct and chance play an essential role in his creative process. Alexandre appreciates the "accidents" that can occur on the canvas, because they add an unpredictable dimension to his art. Painting allows him to lose himself in the unknown while remaining anchored in the present moment.
Alexandre Pons draws inspiration from various artists, including Antoni Tapiès, Antoni Clavé, Thibault de Reimpré, Michèle Destarac, Manolo Millares, De Kooning, Jackson Pollock, Nicolas de Staël, André Lanskoy, Bram van Velde and Gabriel Godard. He is also very interested in African and Aboriginal arts.
Among his notable exhibitions, we can cite his participation in the group exhibition at the "Garage de Ramatuelle" in 2011, as well as a personal exhibition at the Vasserot washhouse in Saint-Tropez in 2009. His artistic career is marked by various exhibitions, auctions and collaborations with art dealers, which demonstrates his passion and commitment to art.
