Elisa De Montis was born in Turin in January 1993. She spent most of her childhood divided between the city and the Piedmont countryside, which led her to immediately develop an intense interest in the organic nature of nature and, at the same time, to observe the cold contrast of urban life.
During her studies at the University of Environmental and Health Biotechnology in Turin, she became interested in the world of art, but without ever attending any art institute or academy. In 1913, she moved to Spain for a few years, where she interacted with a multicultural society of young artists, especially street artists and graffiti artists. The freedom of expression and the liveliness of the country led her to experiment with some early works, which were initially photographic in nature, one of which won first prize for photography at the Giglio Blu competition in Florence (2019). In the same years, she also became interested in poetry and philosophy, writing some poetic texts that won several awards. From '19 to '21 he was part of the technical jury of a literary competition in Lombardy and then, in '23, he wanted to take up the art of the image again.
He began to study the expression of bodies and the construction of scenography as a self-taught artist (aided by previous years of photography) and developed his first oil painting in '24, The Seven Principalities, which was exhibited at the International Museum of Modern Art in Chianciano Terme in August of the same year.
His atelier is currently located in Lombardy and he is working on a first series of paintings entitled "The Gardens," which touches on various social and psychological themes.
