This art is inspired by my plein air observations and studies - and the work of the great Russian landscape painter Ivan
Shishkin too. I admired this big powerful tree like a pagan, because oak is a symbol of stability, vitality and health. Oak forest is a flickering light, shades of green foliage and grass, the warmth of the sun's rays. I wanted you to feel that the forest is a big green cozy home for every living being.
The picture is sent without a stretcher, rolled up in a tube.
