Edgar Salguero is a contemporary Costa Rican artist born in Costa Rica in 1950. He pursued his studies at the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and later adopted Guanajuato, Mexico, as his place of residence and artistic muse.
Salguero served as a professor of Representation Techniques at the Schools of Architecture and Interior Design at the University of Guanajuato, Mexico. His artistic career includes participation in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Mexico and the United States.
Self-taught in his artistic training, Salguero embraces experimentation in his work. His deep affection for Mexico is evident in his use of color and thematic emphasis.
