The moment of the big bang.
Fragments of life and beauty hurled into the black void of nothingness.
From chaos to order to chaos again.
The centre of the explosion is a representation of energy, an entity, but also represents a Lotus bud, a Buddhist symbol of life emerging from the darkness enabling eventual enlightenment.
The colours white and yellow (gold) have been used on the bud, not only to represent the extreme heat of the moment but also both have meanings within Buddhism that are relevant to this moment: white, the representation of the purity of the spirit and yellow, representing gold, the ultimate enlightenment.
Without this moment, the moment of creation, all would be void.
As an aside, this piece has taken me a month to complete. For me, it has been worth it !
