Orange You See (2023) Collages by Donald Mcleman
Seller Donald Mcleman
"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.

Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.
Art Print "Fine Art" - Glossy finish on a fiber base paper 325 g.

Orange is the happiest colour and the luckiest. There's no greater exilirator than a pattern of orange across nature. The large poppies form a muted pattern that flows behind a layer of tissue paper while orange highlights and green leaves create a counter dynamism on top.
The collage has been created on canvas board treated to archival standards to preserve the work. The tissue paper has been coated on both sides with Golden soft gel medium and the collage given a final layer of protection with Golden UV matte varnish.
The collage wraps over the sides of the panel. The picture is the standard size 10 x 8". Signed on the reverse with description and title.

I am a mixed media artist born and raised in a small fishing village in the north of Scotland. I began as a professional photographer and ranged over other design roles in the real world and on the internet. Now my time is filled with rough paper collages and expressive mark-making. These pictures open up naive explorations of unlikely compositions and fleeting reactions, worked out with instinct and emotional thrusts. My technique juggles unforeseen juxtapositions with broken fragments, the whole coming together to achieve a precarious but satisfying complexity. The question of balance is always present. The torn and faded materials reflect the passage of time alongside a view of an imperfect humanity.
My influences may not be apparent… I keep coming back to Cézanne and Matisse.
All these works are made to archival standards on sealed wood. The paper is coated on both sides with Golden soft gel medium to preserve the colours and protected with UV varnish.
