Familiar to everyone plots are presented in a new, unusual presentation and decorated with the author's humor. Series “Satire as Art of life” has won the hearts of many collectors around the world. Creativity by Dmitry Shevchuk is represented in many private collections in Ukraine, USA, Italy, Germany and Poland.
Shevchuk Dmitriy Viktorovich - was born in 1964 in Kiev (Ukraine). Artist and sculptor works in his own workshop in the Kiev region. In 1991 he graduated from the Kiev Art-Industrial School (now Kiev State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts and Design named after M. Boichuk). After studying he was engaged in manufacturing of master-models (sculptures of small forms) for manufacturing firms both in Ukraine and abroad (Italy, USA).
Particular recognition of the author received after the release of the author's series of sculptures - "Satire as the art of life". This is an ironic series of caricatures, which turns the viewer to the philosophy of everyday life and encourages us to look at everyday things through the prism of the author's humor.
The author's work from beginning to end - the author himself makes the figure in wax, applies a layer of clay, then - melt the wax. After that he pours the metal. The last step - the author puts the finishing touches (sanding, soldering) and the figure is ready. The entire process from research to finished figurine takes about 3-4 weeks.
Until today, about 30 stories have been created (edition each of them up to 10 copies). Although the series is small, but the sculptor manages to create quite exclusive, original, funny and beautiful sculptures.

Dmitry Shevchuk, un artista ucraniano contemporáneo conocido por su dominio de la caricatura irónica y las esculturas humorísticas, descubrió su pasión por modelar figuras de plastilina durante su infancia. Esta fascinación temprana allanó el camino para su viaje artístico, lo que lo llevó a seguir una educación formal en la Escuela de Arte Industrial de Kiev (ahora Instituto Estatal de Artes Aplicadas y Decorativas y Diseño de Kiev que lleva el nombre de M. Boichuk), de la que se graduó en 1991.
Después de graduarse, Dmitry se adentró en el ámbito de la fabricación, especializándose en la elaboración de modelos maestros o pequeñas esculturas para varias empresas en Ucrania y en el extranjero, incluidas Italia y Estados Unidos.
En 2010, Dmitry se embarcó en un nuevo esfuerzo artístico con el inicio de su propia serie titulada "La sátira como arte de la vida". Esta serie consta de estatuillas de bronce, cada una de las cuales mide hasta 20 cm de altura, elaboradas en el género de la caricatura irónica. Hecha a mano por el propio artista, cada obra se produce en ediciones limitadas de hasta 10 ejemplares. La serie sirve como una exploración lúdica de los aspectos mundanos de la vida cotidiana, invitando a los espectadores a contemplar lo ordinario a través de la lente única de humor y sátira de Dmitry.
A través de sus caprichosas creaciones, Dmitry Shevchuk ofrece una nueva perspectiva sobre las rutinas y banalidades de la vida moderna, animando al público a encontrar diversión y conocimiento en lo aparentemente mundano. Sus obras provocan risas y contemplación, transformando lo ordinario en extraordinarias expresiones de ingenio artístico y creatividad.
