2021 — “Familiar mushrooms” in the Botanical Garden of Tver State University.
The pine form of a porcini mushroom is depicted at a time different angles and different stages of growth. It seems the mushrooms have just been brought from the forest.
Matte mushroom caps are burgundy-red color with a purple tint. In a mature mushroom the bottom of the cap is spongy, bright green, in young mushrooms it is elastic and light.
These mushrooms grow in pine forests - in the painting we can also see moss, needles and an open pine cone.
