The artwork was inspired by the synagogue of Toledo, although the colours have been altered and atmosphere changed to accommodate an entrance to a garden, perhaps that of the secret knowledge. The space has been painted with intricate details and at the same time with transparent layers and sketch-like approach. The atmosphere of the artwork is kept in cool tones of blues and greys, with a touch of pink and greenish in the distance, where the entrance to the garden is. Lightness is maintained in the artwork even where shadows are depicted, to emphasise the brilliance of the southern light.
