Diom Diallo is a Paris-born photographer whose artistic journey is marked by a constant quest for meaning and visual expression. After studying cinema and the arts in England and France, he deepened his influences by drawing inspiration from Asian philosophies and the work of David Lynch.
His artistic journey begins with painting, where he explores the world of abstraction with growing passion. However, after several years dedicated to painting, Diom Diallo decides to turn to photography, a medium that allows him to capture reality through a more immediate and instinctive prism.
Black and white photography becomes his preferred choice. For him, this choice is both timeless and fundamental, offering a simplicity that allows him to return to his essential relationships with his environment. Diom Diallo focuses on visual creation around light, textures, atmospheres and shapes, seeking to question and redefine his perceptions.
His work is a reflection on subjectivity and the interpretation of information, an exploration of the norms and ways in which we understand and interpret the world around us. Through his photographs, he invites viewers to an introspection on how they perceive and react to the different dimensions of reality.
Diom Diallo considers each project as an opportunity to think about everything and the individual, to challenge established perspectives and to learn from the creative process. His photography is a continuous journey of discovery and rediscovery, a dialogue between himself and the world, between art and reality.
