João Dimas Lara M.
Born in Capão Bonito/SP, born on 11/29/1990; being the 10th child of 10 siblings and father of a 6-year-old girl.
Exactly on August 23, 2005, on a Tuesday, through a simple joke, I discovered a talent that I never imagined I had until then. An area that had not interested me, the fantastic universe of painting. At first using only acrylic paint; I started sketching some drawings on bond paper and later on wooden objects such as boards, old doors, clothes and closets, due to the fact that I didn't have the financial means to purchase my own canvases. However, this fact did not stop me from continuing to develop my work and show my talent.
But in mid-2007, I received approximately 30 canvases from my sister, which allowed me to develop my work with more creativity and a higher level of quality. In the beginning, until approximately 2009, my creations were based on realism techniques. From 2009 onwards I began to express an interest in impressionism, encompassing other materials such as the use of oil paint together with acrylic in the same work, a resource that I used until approximately 2011. Today, all my works with paints are only in oil.
Other works I develop are paintings on canvas with India ink, using a pen and ink to develop the painting, and drawings on canvas using specific charcoal for drawing, also known as “charcoal on canvas”.
