Glossy finish

Типичный взгляд: пророки Израиля (или проповедники в другие времена) обличали, призывали, но народ, глупый и злой, не слушал... У меня эта схема всегда вызывала сомнения. Плохому танцору всегда ноги мешают. Всегда ведь есть и обратная сторона. Меня, например, эти самые пророки и проповедники тоже не впечатляют. Много громких, пафосных, формально правильных слов - но мало мысли, мало глубины, мало самокритики, мало поисков, много однообразия. Они сами были не очень-то умны и добры и просто топили за своего бога как за кумира... Т.е. если гранит тебе не поддается, не вини гранит, а вини свою слабую силу удара, или его направление - по касательной...
Другое дело, что если усилить удар, если заострить своё орудие, то людям, народам станет больно и непривычно от получаемого воздействия - и далеко не все воспримут это воздействие с благодарностью и с готовностью к переменам - многие захотят тебя устранить и убить, чтобы не было боли, чтобы всё оставалось по-прежнему и не надо было признавать, что раньше ты был не человеком, а гранитом или дубиной...

They themselves were not very smart and kind and simply drowned for their god as an idol... That is if granite doesn’t give in to you, don’t blame the granite, but blame your weak impact force, or its direction - tangentially...
Another thing is that if you intensify the blow, if you sharpen your weapon, then people, nations will become painful and unusual from the impact they receive - and not everyone will accept this impact with gratitude and readiness for change - many will want to eliminate you and kill you so that there is no pain, so that everything remains the same and you don’t have to admit that before you were not a person, but granite or a cudgel...
