Detlef Lemme (Farbenkugel)
Painting has meaning because it doesn't depict, but makes visible!
Detlef Lemme believes in the power of images that, made by people, reflect existence and, in action, can cancel out the self, space and time. After art academy, his path led him first to artistic work with computers and pen plotters (1994), then to 3D animation in the areas of multimedia, animation and industrial design. He is proud of his participation in animated film productions such as “Werner – Gekotzt wird später” and “Karlsson vom Dach”. In 2015, Lemme resumed his own art production. He processed his impressions from visualizing automobiles at VW and Audi (2006 - 2009) by producing 500 subjective “car/self” watercolors. In 2017, he provocatively took part in Donald Trump's competition to build the wall in the USA with his watercolor series “Laying Wall of Trust”. Detlef Lemme draws, paints and prints on paper, wood and canvas.
