Né à Dreux en 1946, il commence son parcours artistique à l'École des Beaux-arts de Rouen, où il est élève dans l'atelier de sculpture de René Leleu* (Prix de Rome). Après le diplôme de sculpture, il devient directeur artistique puis designer et vit ses jeunes années à Paris dans l'ébullition du quartier latin. Passionné par le dessin et surtout le volume, il se consacre exclusivement à la sculpture et installe son atelier en 1997. Il enseigne pendant quelques années la morphologie et le croquis de nu. Esthète et romantique il aborde tous les thèmes de la sculpture, les portraits, la statuaire, les sujets animaliers et de composition. Depuis 2000 il expose régulièrement aux Salons de la Société des Artistes Français et de la Société Nationale des Beaux-arts ainsi que dans diverses expositions collectives nationales. Plus que jamais, il demeure très attaché à la culture artistique classique, et aux artistes qui ont peuplé sa jeunesse, Rembrandt, Carpeaux, Houdon, Rodin, et qui ont toujours motivé chez lui une certaine idée de l'exigence esthétique.
