Since my childhood, drawing has been a real escape for me. At only 6 years old, I immersed myself in the world of comics, reproducing the stories that fed my imagination. My parents, both of whom attended the École des Beaux-Arts in Tours, strongly influenced me: one, a typographer specializing in old letters, the other, a decorator and window dresser.
After studying business in 1989, I decided to follow in their footsteps and enrolled at the Beaux-Arts in Avignon. For two years, I studied space design and obtained my first diploma, the DNAP.
However, I had to interrupt this artistic journey because I was expecting my daughter, whom I consider to be one of my most beautiful creations.
My passion for art has never waned, although I later devoted myself to a career as an interior designer, working as a colorist in the furniture industry. Around the age of 35, I obtained a degree in art therapy, a discipline that allowed me to link my love of art and my interest in care.My artistic work is deeply marked by my relationship with the material. I particularly like using the knife to give texture to my paintings. The influences of great painters such as Nicolas de Stael and Ambrogiani, a great painter in Provence, particularly in the use of colors and material, have enriched my career.
I have developed a personal style, mixing a figurative foreground with often more abstract backgrounds, which can be found in particular in my still lifes.
Where my work is particularly recognizable is in my representations of trees. For a long time, I have been told that my trees evoke tulips, or sometimes champagne glasses, depending on each person's interpretation. What is certain is that my works often touch on two emblematic trees of Provence: the olive tree and the almond tree.
In addition to painting, I also like to devote myself to drawing, particularly comics, where I work with more precision and clarity, thus moving away from the pictorial world to explore another facet of my creativity.
I have had various exhibitions in my region for 20 years and have also had the chance to exhibit in the United States in Illinois.
I have sold my paintings all over the world, but especially in Northern Europe. Of course, not all of my paintings are represented here. I also had a workshop in Maussane les Alpilles. The vagaries of life made me stop painting for a few years.
But my passion for colors and shapes remains intact, vital. I have never stopped painting or drawing, because art, for me, is much more than a simple profession, it is a necessity to externalize things...
Thank you for taking the time to discover my works.
