I'm currently creating a new series of paintings about solar system. This one was inspired by the surface of the satellite called Themisto. It is a small prograde irregular satellite of Jupiter. Themisto's orbit is unusual: unlike most of Jupiter's moons, which orbit in distinct groups, Themisto orbits alone. Finished with a glaze of UV varnish to protect against sunlight and dust damage. The colors may look a little bit different depending on the screen. This artwork is signed and dated on the back. A signed Certificate Of Authenticity will be included with the artwork. Edges are painted so it doesn't require any frame.
Size: 110 H 90 W x 2 cm, 43.3" x 35.4" x 0.8"

Pamela Rys was born in Czestochowa, Poland in 1987 and currently lives and works in London, United Kingdom. Pamela pursued studies in fine art painting, design in visual communication and fashion design. She received her M.F.A. in 2017. Her paintings explore the complicated relationship between textures and colors. Pamela Rys' style is defined by sculptural use of paint. Her densely textured paintings are built up of a mixture of many layers of thick gesso, paint, wood, sand, plastic and other materials. She creates unique three-dimensional artworks. Her paintings are grounded in an admiration of the cosmos and an interest in pranic healing energies.
