Nio ist ein multidisziplinärer Künstler (Malerei, Fotografie, Zeichnung) und Karikaturist. Seine meist abstrakten Werke überraschen durch ihre Tiefe und Subtilität.
Seine Arbeiten, die sich insbesondere mit den Themen Collage, abstrakte Skulptur und Silhouetten befassen, zeichnen sich durch ein neues Licht aus. Die Silhouetten, die er in seinen Fotos erzeugt, erinnern auf seltsame Weise an Karikaturen.
Nio ist ein rumänischer Künstler, der in Clichy-sous-bois in Frankreich lebt und arbeitet. Er begann 1983 mit der Karikatur. 1995 schloss er sein Studium am Institut Kamprath, Abteilung Karikatur und Pressekarikatur, in Darmstadt, Deutschland, und 2001, am Phoenix Institute, Abteilung Werbedesign, in Cluj Napoca, Rumänien, ab. Er nahm an zahlreichen Ausstellungen teil, darunter Hypergallery, in Zusammenarbeit mit Hewlett Packard im Palais de Tokyo in Paris im Jahr 2004. Er ist Gründungsmitglied der Association of Romanian Professional Caricaturists in Macea, Rumänien.
